Colour Pop Cosmetics

Everyone has been talking about Colour Pop cosmetics so I had to see for myself if they were really worth all the hype. Now the main reason for their media blitz this past year has been because they sent out free products to nearly every beauty blogger and youtuber and worked with a few of them to create their own products. I've been disappointed before after some of my favorite bloggers all said some new product was "amazing" and a "must have" so I was a little skeptical of Colour Pop when placing my order.

I ended up only ordering eyeshadows and one of their new highlighters. I wanted to get super shimmery metallic colors because those looked the most impressive especially for five dollars each and it's hard to find a good glitter or metallic eyeshadow.
Left side is: Spoon(highlight)             Right side: BAE
                          Get Lucky                                       Cricket
                          Tassel.                                             Liberty

When they arrived three of them were broken but I blame my mailman for that (I honesty have the worst one you don't even want to get me started about that) but I just pressed them back together. They have such a creamy mouse like consistency that I didn't think it would really matter.
Here is a picture with flash so you can see the glitter reflects in them better.
Spoon is described on the website as "A light silver champagne with multi-dimensional silver flecks, that is sure to get you forked." Get it, spoon, fork(all their descriptions have clever little jokes).
Get Lucky is described as "Intense ultra-metallic, liquid-like true gold, this shade is so on-point you are sure to “get lucky” *ahem*."
Tassel is "Bright true white with multi- dimensional highly reflective glitter. Use this shade to highlight anything, we mean anything." (I think they want you to put it on your boobs)
BAE- "Ay Bay Bay, this rich eggplant purple with an emerald, and turquoise, glittery duo chrome metallic finish is legit better than anything else."
Cricket is "A smoky mid-tone plum with warm and cool highlights of soft glitter. There won’t be any awkward silences when you wear this…(who comes up with these?).
Liberty is "Intense ultra-metallic true silver. This killer shadow will make even a walk of shame look classy. It’s the most legit silver we have ever seen – Makeup junkie tested and approved."

Overall I think that Colour Pop eyeshadows are definitely worth the hype. They are only five dollars each but have high end quality and pigmentation. They go on very smooth and last a decent amount of time(as long as any normal person wears eyeshadow). The only downside is that I wish they came in a palette because I hate having so many single shadows everywhere and I'm definitely going to want more of them. The highlight isn't as pigmented as they show online, in the picture above that took 3 layers and you can still barely see it, and the sparkle is a bit chunky for my taste. I like my highlight to be more of a glow than straight glitter on my cheeks. I still intend on ordering more products from Colour pop and try more of their line of cosmetics.

I was not paid nor was I given these products for free. I purchased everything with my own money and all thoughts are my own.
